Homework Hints
Homework can be a good experience but it can also be challenging. There are a few things you can do to help ease the stress.
--Have a designated time for homework.
--Have a special place for homework. Keep extra paper, pencils, other school supplies at that location.
--Turn off the electronics and minimize the distractions during homework time.
--Make sure the homework area is well lit and that the table/desk and chair are comfortable for your child
--Monitor how long homework is taking.
--When your child asks for help, provide guidance, not answers.
--Remember to read every day, practice math facts daily, and practice spelling words daily.
--Be sure to check the Parent Portal to check for missing assignments.
